Need a Break!

I feel like a slave to my homework. Yesterday, after school, I came home and read for 10 hours!!! I went on a walk and that was about my only break! I even read when I ate dinner. Unbelievable! I have literally been doing homework every moment of free-time I've had during this past week and meanwhile the laundry is piling up and so are the dishes. Nick is pretty much as busy as I am. To think I only have 3 classes and a parttime job! Agh!

Luckily, I have found one thing that has kept me laughing all week. This video tickles me in just the right way and I have been watching it multiple times every day. I never fail to laugh. Perhaps because it's our very own basenji breed that makes it more funny.

More Andrea Craziness

Oh my goodness! I feel like I'm in a washing machine, round and round!

Part of me is wishing I had not gotten into this politics class. I really do like learning about the other countries but each chapter is about 50 pages long and takes FOREVER to read! So, this class is by far the most demanding and I'm having a hard time keeping up. I should be reading right now but my brain just can't focus any more, and I gotta tell ya, France is a confusing mess!

This week is going to be crazy! We're going to the fair with friends on Wednesday, there is an RS enrichment activity on Thursday, Friday we're having dinner/game night with some friends, and Saturday I have been asked to be an artist as part of the Parisian theme of a multistake Priest Laurel dance! So, Monday and Tuesday will be my only relax days and I will have to spend that doing homework!!

Nick and I feel fat and wanna do something about it. I also have not been reading my scriptures and we were so good about that before. So, we're hoping to get up early and go running together and read scriptures. It just stinks because Nick has to be at work by 7:30 and has a 20 minute drive, which means getting up way early for us. I may end up working out by myself so I can wake up a bit later than 5:30!!

We took Marley to the dog park today. We have been a few times and there are usually no dogs or just one other one. This time, it went from Marley and another dog to a total of 17 dogs!! They just kept coming!!! It's embarrassing though, he is so obsessed with licking other dogs and gettin' jiggy wit' it. All the other dogs are playing with each other or playing with their masters and there's Marley, completely oblivious to everything but every dog's unit! Ugh. I donno how to break him of that because he might as well be deaf while he is out there. Dogs!

At least work is going good and I feel like we're really building some good friendships here, finally. So, overall, I am pretty happy. Just a bit stressed.

We'll see how the week goes...

National Grandparents Day

So, yesterday I found out was grandparents day. Luckily I had given my mother a call and she just happened to be at grandmas house. Am I just a terrible grandson, or are there others out there that had no idea this day even existed? I marked my calendar so I remember next year to give my grandma a phonecall. In case anyone else is interested this day falls on the 1st Sunday after Labor Day.

Grandparents are so awesome! I think its great to have a day for grandparents since they are such a wonderful influence in our lives. If our grandparents have passed away then this day would be a good time to remember them. Grandparents don't get enough credit so I think this day needs to be advertised more. This is my plug for it.
You're the best grandma in the whole wide world! We love you grandma!

Crazy Week

Wow, I've been pretty busy. I spent a lot of Thursday and Friday on the phone with my family. It was fun to talk but that didn't leave me much homework time. Friday was my friend's 30th birthday so we had a Girls Night at her place with another of our friends. I had fun. Our friend gave us pedicures and foot rubs and then I gave them back rubs and head rubs. I love doing that.

Saturday was crazy! I was tired but I had to get the newsletter done for Relief Society. Then, I realized, "Oh my goodness, it's my turn to teach tomorrow!" So, all of a sudden I have to prepare a lesson in one afternoon and my topic is the Law of Chastity! Gee, what can I do with that? So, that was a bit stressful. I think my lesson turned out pretty lame but I do think the topic was difficult.

We sang in sacrament today - "Abide with Me." I thought it was good and it's nice to be back in choir. We booked two outings for this week too (because life is just not crazy enough). We're going to the fair on Thursday with the Langholfs and then we'll have the Malhorbes over for dinner Friday.

Now I have a ton of homework to do. I hate doing it on Sunday but because this week was so nuts (especially yesterday) this is where I am. It's a nice day and I hope to fit in a walk but one thing is planned today for sure - a nap!

So Sadly Outta Shape

When I went to chase Marley around the apartment and felt my heart immediately ache at the strain, I knew I had to take action right away. No more excuses. If I can't last running for 60 seconds, I need to do something NOW. So, right then and there I slipped into some gym shorts and put in a dance workout video. It lasted 50 minutes and I felt good afterward.

I work tomorrow and I'm thinking about walking. It's 2 miles so it would be 4 roundtrip. But, it's a good way to start the day. I just want to take advantage of those opportunities because my health is so bad. I'm feeling motivated to eat better too, especially to eat more often. I need to get some baby carrots and things like that in my fridge and stop being an ice cream eating loser.

No Words Can Describe

So, you're probably wondering why I added this picture. To tell you the truth, I really don't know. I found it on the internet a while back and have a hard time letting go of it. It's insanely creepy and hilarious at the same time. I googled "little people that scare you and send chills down your spine". Not really, but I wonder what results you'd get if you did.

There are things in this world that you can't explain, but oddly we are facinated by them. I hope you all can enjoy this picture as much as I have.

So anyway, I've been hitting the books getting into my classes. I enjoy school even though I'd rather be playing W.O.W. or watching Lost. I'm so flippin jealous since some of my family are going to Brazil to pick up my cousin Brian from his mission. I can't wait to see that crazy guy again! He is so funny.. he is make me laugh.

Comparative Politics

So turns out I was able to add an online Comparative Politics class. I started reading the book and I'm pretty excited. So far, it sounds like an objective book and I feel the knowledge I will gain from this class will be really valuable in helping me to "be in the know." We will be studying other governments in depth, such as Britain and India, etc. Each chapter talks about history, current government, and specific economic and political issues with each country. I'm having a hard time explaining why I think that's cool so, in short, I'm excited.

Labor Day

Today was a good day. I decided not to stress myself out for the next couple of months so I am now down to only 2 classes, History & Geography. It was rough to make the decision but I feel liberated to know I won't be super stressed this semester.

We went on a hike today. Sadly, Marley is out of shape. We do not walk him enough. He did not even last half an hour before jumping to a shady spot on the ground and laying down to rest, even while we were still walking. Poor guy. So, we turned back early but it was fun to get out anyway.

We also went over to our friend Matt's house and played some Nintento Wii games and watched "Just Like Heaven." I think I'll give it a B. Funny and cute but could have been a bit better.

Dang school!

Oh this semester is already turning out to be a pain. I'm having such a hard time getting my brain to focus on school when I'm kind of in "work mode." I have never been a fan of juggling work and school and it doesn't help with all the changes I'm having to make to my school schedule! Maybe I'll finally get pregnant and be too sick to take all these classes. Nick says I can drop if I want but then I feel guilty for not going to school. *sigh*

Albuquerque Turkey Sandwiches

Welcome all to the team-taylor blog. This is a little exciting since I've never had a blog before, and since it's the teamtaylor blog it is destined to be one of the most exciting and earth-shattering blogs in the history of blogs.

Speaking of dreams, I had a dream the other day that I was breaking up a fight. Jack and Kate were beating the bajeezees out of Sawyer(all characters from Lost), so I stepped in and broke it up. I gave them a sharp lecture that "this is how we got here in the first place".

We have been ripping through the Lost seasons as if they were going out of style. We have about 4 episodes left in season 3. We will then be forced to wait until February when the next season comes out. "What are we going to do when we can only watch one episode a week?" is what we ask ourselves.

We started school again this past week. I finished up my CCAF(Community College of the Air Force) degree, so now I'm starting on the long and hopefully not too painful road to a BA in Computer Science. It's been 5 years since I took my last math class, so hopefully it doesn't take too long to get back into things. I'm actually really excited for school and am determined to work hard.

By next week I'll hopefully have something important to say. I hope everyone is doing wonderfully.

Me and my crazy dreams

Well, we had quite the Sunday today. I took a 3 hour nap and had a crazy dream involving octopuses and geese in a dark lake, my mission companions shunning me, a crowd of thespians, and dead people looking up at me with sad eyes. That's what I get for sleeping so long.
